That's my take too. I view the downtime like getting to your crazy uncle's place and he's not home. Just come back later, the shenanigans will most certainly pick up where they left off.Good thread, and thanks Kevin for keeping the place alive. Inevitably people get worked up because this place doesn't have the software reliability of Facebook. I just don't care. Vbulletin, xeno, whatever. I been through my share of outages and issues here, and if this place ever shut down I'd refresh it everyday hoping it would come back. That's my take too. See you soonI love this forum. Made some lifelong friends here, that I would let crash on my couch if they ever needed to.
Me too. Small operations without billions of dollars in backing are bound to have a hiccup eventually. I've no use for the big social media companies. So long as Spark keeps the lights on this will likely remain my only link to the outside world, without bladeforums my slip into full hermit status would be complete.Inevitably people get worked up because this place doesn't have the software reliability of Facebook. You know I'm the same exact way, last time I used Facebook was on deployment in 2010. 14 years ago. I've never had Instagram or Twitter or others. Hermits unite.Me too.
