Today's Gun Show Find

obviously a fake... Gun shows never have deals like that.

:D

I was going to say that he must have bought it off of Hammy, because you're right, finds like that are incredibly rare.

But then we got the story...

Nice score Bill. I'm glad you are the one that John sold that to.

The postscript is that roenman doesn't collect coated Busse knives, he only goes for Flying Nuclear satin Custom Shop stuff. So he's going to sell the Badger to me.:cool:

Seriously?

Really?

What kind of crappy gun shows am I going to?

The last gun show I went to, some overpriced Cold steel, and pakistani junk!

Ones that ain't in Ohio, I guess. We don't see much Busse at gun shows here in Penn's woods either... But we do see $650 "rare" basic plain Sebenza's.

Nice score, Bill!

My guess is that was not a random find off of a table. The clue is the comment above by thatmguy. Maybe John was an old customer of his who came to the show looking to unload his knife?

Actually it was of a table along with a Basic 3.
Hammy sold this BA to this gentleman 5-6 years ago. As I said, I got lucky.

I was real lucky today
Check it out, a never used, sterile original BA 3 Snakeskin

So pretty, it deserves another picture bump!

WOW! Very, very cool and congratulations! Those rope handles in snakeskin are just plain beautiful! :D

I stand corrected. Congrats on your lucky find.

Now, sell it to me, as you don't collect those coated knives. ;)

man...! i offered my soul to knifehunter for this exact same knife!!! well played, sir.

Nice.

Saw the SHSH at the Wilmington, MA gun show again. It's a fair deal at, I think $500-600. (I saw it at Marlboro last month as well.) I'm surprised with enough Mass Hogs that it's even still around. If it's in Marlboro again next show, I'm gonna be ashamed of my brethren. ;)

Hey Dennis, where you at the Wilmington show as well? I was there Saturday morning. Didn't see any Busse knives, although someone had a couple of small Sebenza's, one of which was used (but in very good shape) for $250. I was VERY tempted, particularly since I had the cash in my pocket and think I might have been able to get him to knock a few dollars off. I ended up passing since my knife find has been pretty much depleted by Ganza and Muck purchases.:)

I did end up buying 1000 rounds of 7.62 x 39, and a $2.00 part for my AR. Seems like that's all I ever buy at these shows since I'm not interested in paying $1,700 for a used Colt 1911, $25 for a "preban" AR mag or $850 for a CMP Garand that cost $595.:)

Yup. Was there at 7:30, parked right outside the door, was the 30th person in. It didn't get crowded until 11 or so. (When I was on my way OUT!)

I saw a Carbon 15. $650!!! I was so pumped. I was reaching for my wallet when I realized it was a Prof-Ord, not a Bushy. :( No wonder the bolt felt a little squishy! d'OH!

Also looked at a CRKT assisted folder. Nope. It reasserted that CRKT, while making cool looking knives, is NOT a hard-use-knife sort of company.

I did go looking for a sheath for a folder I have. (Moore Maker) No dice. I think there were a few guys selling sheaths at Marlboro last month. Zero this time. Even the biker-leather guy had wallets and belts, but no sheaths or holsters. ????

I refuse to go nylon. A good old-school folder needs a snap leather sheath. Every one I see is a cheezy Pakistani pile of poo. :(

Once you know the interwebs, gun shows are more for entertainment and occasional deals than a spectacular bargain. I'm surprised you found decent-priced AK ammo.

First off.....killer score
I am usually at all of these Mass Gun shows but I have not gone to any since the Big E's fall show where I saw a Gladius and another Busse I cant remember. He wanted around $2000 for the Satin Gladius. It was very nice to hold but not my thing. I honestly felt like the master of the universe when I held the Gladius
Dennis the funny thing is the SH you bought a few years ago, I had the chance to buy two days before the show but I lost the sellers cell #, I saw the knife dealer at the gas station and he knows I like Busse knives. He bought it at a gun shop from the owner. He told me he saw it come in to be traded and he went nuts when he saw it, bought it for a song, as was his selling price. So congrats to you also Sir.
I have seen over priced Culties, and a few SR M6's.....hope to find a BA III someday.....that is before Dennis finds it :D

Have a great day guys and once again Congrats

Congrats on a great knife!!! I was shocked to see a busse at a gun show in Midland Tx a few years ago a Force 1 and i bought it. I am going to try and make the Sweetwater tx rattle snake round up and gun show this weekend, just the gun show, i've seen enough round ups.
