Today's Gun Show Score...Two Rob Criswell Swords

I went to the Wanemacher's gun show in Tulsa, OK today. If you've never been, It's huge! I literally walked 6 miles today and didn't make it down every row.
In hour 5 I walked past a table and saw two very reconizable swords. I have a Rob Criswell Katana from 2002, but these were a little more custom. They are a matched
set have what appears to be bone in the Kashira \ Pommel, and a damascus Tsuba. One has a 20" blade and the other a 16" blade. I suppose they would both be considered
Wakizashi.

The seller wanted $100 for BOTH BLADES! I couldn't believe it! He said his brother bought them about 30 years ago and has done nothing with them. That would be the right timeframe
for Rob's work. I quickly handed over a Benjamin, and we wrapped them in a towell so I didn't bump into anyone in the crowd,
or lay myself open with these mega sized razor blades.

My wife grumbled at me a little until I pulled up Arizona Custom Knives and showed her they go for $800-$1,000 each.
I can't believe someone didn't snag these up. I can only assume people thought they were cheap Chinesium toys.

I got them home and under better light found there was some very minor corosion spots on the tip (expected with 30 year old A2 Tool Steel). A little baking soda paste and steel wool cleaned it right up!

Here are some pics of the two new ones and one with their big brother.

Nice score brother. Would love to buy them from you if you are ever in the market to sell. Thanks
