Today's Haul, not too bad...

Great score Eli. I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out how you talked a HOG out of that much INFI.

Now you got me wanting a Desert Jack:eek:

Look what came home with me today ;)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

That one on the bottom looks pretty old are you sure you want that old thing? not much use for that...I could throw it in one of my drawers though if you wanted. ;)

Is it just me but stripped down like that.....does this look alot like a SRKW original Ratweiler? IMO, the best knife to have come out of the swamp....ever! Ok, the mini Uncle Mojo was close.

Nice haul indeed! I would not worry too much that it may be awhile before you can do that again. I think the great feeling you get from such a haul is going to be around for awhile.

Doug ---- that's one I've missed ever since... Doubly so when you post those nice pics! Glad she got a good home though.

Peter, I'm with you guys. It ain't INFI, but the old rat ergos are amazing to my hand. I love these knives...

Well thanks again. I love having it. And again, I am glad you found a replacement.

DWRW, that nekkid Rat looks really good!

Thanks. I have to admit, my Desert Jack was BY FAR the easiest strip/finish job of any of the many Busse, Swamp and Scrap knives I have stripped. The Desert Jack is the only one that I left fairly natural after stripping. When I stripped it, the flats actually had a fairly lightly pitted orange-peel dimpled surface and I thought it actually looked pretty decent. So, I decided not to satin finish it. I just hand buffed it with Scotch-brite pad to remove the black "Decarb" (????) - That is it. The Temper line shows very nicely and I LOVE the look of the temper line. The temper line looked very good with the uniform light dimples in this case.

Yes, I think it looks a lot like a slightly smaller and slightly more slender original Ratweiler.
