Nice kit choices, always a fun mental exercise.

Ain't it a pain setting up a whole kit, then dumping it out of the pouch for a kit, then putting it back in... :D

I wish mine was as well organized as yours. Those note pads are the best ever.

Where did you get that medic card?

You forgot to list something I spotted - Handcuff key. Is there something you wanted to tell us? ;)

Being a LEO, there's nowhere I go without one of those. I probably have a hundred sitting around the house. The woods are a peace place for me, but I have run into my fair share of turds out there.

one suggestion ,if that is a Pilot G2 pen, find another or get a pencil,it has the Gel type ink and heat will make the pen leak/bust in your kit.....& I would add a LMF firesteel or something other than just matches, but good kit..

I gotta say, that kit rocks! I love the bag you picked, thou it is way out of my price range. But it does keep everything in it's place and I bet you have little trouble finding something you need.

The only thing I would add, might be a square of heavy duty foil. Maybe a couple of Gerber Milk bags for water. They could be added without destroying the compact design of the kit.

Hmmm.... I will have to ask for one of those bags for my Father's day present... next year :/

Nice lookin kit. I'd get rid of that wire saw. In my experience they're very disapointing. There is a saw on that SAK, right?

I agree with Fiddleback on the wire saw. One of the reasons I so love my SAK outrider is the saw is just long enough to be useful. If I need more than that, I probably want a real saw or a hatchet. Which won't fit in the kit.

I've been thinking about figuring out how to waterproof paper at home as well.

Keep them ideas coming.

Good call on the saw. I had it sitting around and had space so I threw it in. If nothing else I can use it to choke out a grizzly :)

I am not usually an organized person, but this kit/case made it easy to keep everything in place.

Good kit! I would consider maybe a mag/flint bar, and maybe a small tube of neosporin, maybe an aspirin or two. I really like that pouch as well:thumbup:.

I have a close family friend who has been having trouble finding jobs. She's very good at what I call "technical artistry" and she's been learning sheathmaking. I've got her to the point where she can put out an exact "koyote" sheath (I do some picky stuff) and is about to start me a pair of utilikilt/BDU pocket organizers.

I've been looking at this case and trying to see how I'd "mountain man" it. Maybe a trifold for water protection. How good are the elastic straps? Would a shock cord braid work out okay, you think?
