Just picked this up from Todd today.

10 1/2 overall length, 5 1/2 cutting edge, 1/4 inch thick, dual fullers, skull crusher pommel.

I forgot to ask the steel used, marked prototype #001.

Feels great in the hand, nice balance.

Comments are appreciated.

I'd love to see a shot of the top of that beast. That thing looks seriously stout. Love the grind. I have a Pantera and I can safely say that Todd's work is flawless.

My favorite Begg by far. Now, I would like one integral with a tappered tang...

That is one serious-looking piece of steel. I love the mixed colors Todd does with handles.

Anthony,

I finally got my heart rate down!!;)

Glad you are happy with this knife.....you got the first!!

The T. B. Clandestine Fighter prototype #003 just went up for sale on knifeart.com today, and unless someone else got to it first tonight, it'll be my first Begg blade. Wish me a little luck! :D Looks like an awesome knife and I'm hoping that I'll get my hands on it. :: fingers crossed::

Hey Blade Goblin, the steel in this one is stainless 154 CM. I'm guessing yours might be the same steel? :)

Does anyone know where #'s 002 & 004 are? LOL curious

Todd has a waiting list, I'm thinking the other prototypes went to people on his list, or purveyors who haven't listed them for sale yet.

You will love the knife, don't you dare put it to use.:p

Nice lines on the blade, I like the design a lot. How's it feel? The tang looks like it could be tapered for balance, other than that it looks like a great little fighter.

I just checked my email (again, ha-ha), and no bad news from Knifeart.com... C.C. shows a temp charge in the same amount... 99.5% sure that I will have the honor of owning this fine blade, but until the ship email later today, I'm holding my breath. ::fingers crossed::

Sweeeeeeeet!! :o I can't wait to USE this blade!... Well, maybe not THIS one, but if I'm to NEVER use this prototype for more than a paperweight, LOL, then I'm gonna need to get a regular non-sequential Clandestine Combat Fighter to 'play with' instead... Can ya hear me Mr. Begg??! Help me help myself from using this blade...!!

But seriously, I will keep this one mint, Blade Goblin! :) Any tips on long-term knife storage and care would be greatly appreciated to keep this sweet blade mint.

(Yesterday was quite a day for me, knife-wise... I found my first Onion, a little fixed-blade 'Amala' (AKA 'Unusual'...?) from AZCK, and then this sweet Begg! I'm savoring the flavor today, for I'm sure it'll be awhile B4 I get this lucky again in one day... So I'll quickly strut, and then shut up...) ...Until next time, 001, this is 003 signing off! lol

------------------------>>> Update 4:20pm EDT........... The shipping email is in from KnifeArt.com and I'm doing the endzone dance..........That is all...! "The name's Begg... Todd Begg, #003 (prototype), license to THRILL." ha-ha. :)

Congrats Jaxx!!!!!

Now all of Todd's knives are made for use, but if you want to make this one a safe queen, no worries.....this will be a standard model we carry. The standard models will be a bit different, but overall have the same look.
So, help is on the way!!!

Well, enjoy!!

Tanya

:D I'll take my own pictures when it arrives, but until then...

Tanya (Hi, how are ya!), I'd love to use this blade and put it to work, but it does deserve to be admired and kept mint, so for now, it'll be locked up. I'll just have to get a regular one. :)

Great score on the prototype. I had the same thought as Anthony did - that knife would be sold in a heartbeat. Congratulations.
