I have a Todd Begg Glimpse III liner lock flipper with contoured black G-10 handle scales, red palm handle inlays, and a handrubbed CPM 154 modified wharncliffe blade for sale. Todd is one of the premier makers of flipper folders, and this piece is a shining example of his exemplary work. Like other Glimpse III flippers, this knife features the IKBS bearing system in the pivot for maximum smoothness of action. Another nice touch on this piece is that the edges of the liners and the clip feature Todd's meteorite-like "cracked ice" texturing.
I am not the first owner of the Glimpse III listed here, but the knife does not appear to have ever been carried, used, or resharpened, and its original edge from Todd is very sharp. The flip action is fast and super smooth, and the blade opens easily in any orientation with no wrist needed whatsoever. I uploaded a brief video here to demonstrate the action. The lock-up is rock solid, and the blade centering is near perfect.
***TRADED***
The specs:
Condition: Appears mint
Blade length: 3 7/8" from tip to handle
Overall length: 8 7/8"
Blade thickness: Just under 5/32" at ricasso
Blade material: CPM 154
Blade finish: Handrubbed
Edge: Plain
Handle scale material: Black G-10, with red palm wood inlays
Lock: Titanium liner lock, engine turned inside, "cracked ice" texture on edges
Backspacer: Black G-10
Clip: Tip up, titanium, beadblasted, with "cracked ice" texture on edges
For payment on this piece, I can take USPS money orders and PayPal (add 3% in the US to cover most of the fees, 4% outside of the US). I can also take a personal check if I know you. If you are paying by PayPal, I will only ship to a PayPal-confirmed address. I reserve the right to wait for payments to clear before I ship.
I will consider trades (with appropriate cash adjustment) for custom folders and certain custom balis. I am especially interested in the following makers:
JL Williams
Charles Marlowe
Tim Galyean
Deryk Munroe
Jim Smyth
Kit Carson
Jim Burke
Gerry McGinnis
DB Fraley
Bob Lum
Mike Snody
Sal Manaro
Scott Cook
Ernie Emerson
Rick Hinderer
Matt Cucchiara
Todd Begg
Tom Mayo
Neil Blackwood
Ken Onion
Phil Boguszewski
Flavio Ikoma
I may consider trades for other custom folders or balis not listed above. However, I am not interested in serrated blades, production knives, or fixed blades other than those by John Young or Russ Andrews.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
