Todd Begg knives engraved series

I would create a knife with the best materials I can get within a specific budget, do the best job I can on it, and then to top it off have it engraved. So that the knife would be an awesome knife in its own already, but it's even 'better' because of the engraving. Now the engraving kind of 'makes' the knife.
No one is going to complain about a little premium on the price if they're as far in as this costs already.

That's my thinking as well. Make a great knife (including a great steel for the blade) and then spruce it up.

As others have pointed out, I take it the use of "we" means you are promoting knives you had a part in creating?

Would be nice to know who we are dealing with here.

My apologies my name is Mark I'm Todd Beggs brother I am one of the three owners of Begg knives.

neato! Are they laser engraved?

Yes these are done with a hybrid fiber laser. We can do 3D as well but it has taken 6 months to get to this point. We are learning more weekly and will be adding lots of new techniques as we progress. The 3D takes some time because we want to do custom art in 3D which is very expensive because the artists that create the art in 3D range from $500 to $2000 a day so we are going slow with the 3D. There is a very long learning curve to achieve this hand engraved look. This means that your surface has to be exactly where you will want to finish at before you engrave otherwise you will be chasing that finished look and can loose detail from your engraving. There many other factors at play that get introduced as you hit the pitfalls. Hey I really like your knives by the way. I would love to have several of them. I especially like the big chopper with the flute. Whats the wait on something like that?

hey Mark, I'd love for you to have one of those things. Let me see if I can help you out.

I do have the proper membership. Our company is Todd Begg knives.

Then maybe you should asks the mods to have that membership reflected in your name. Unfortunately, without it, you give the appearance of someone trying to sneaky scam some free advertising for their stuff.

Good suggestion.

you need to pay for a membership with Bladeforums, for sure. If you've already paid, then changing your profile's all that's required
I got one- it's pretty inexpensive and helps keep this ship afloat

As much as I like how they look and to be honest I've been wanting one of your brothers knives for a little while your introduction was poorly handled.

In hindsite I agree with you. I have not really posted much outside of our subform. I talked to Spark today and will be changing my name to better reflect who we are. I oplogize for not making an introduction and making it more clear for you guys. Lesson learned.

^that's pretty incredible. This purpose built graphics/laser engraving thing is pretty new territory that you guys are doing a good job of blazing. Pun partially intended
