Todd,

I have never seen a folder from you that didn't get my heart beating just a little bit faster.

Great job!

Real good looking knife, blade shape well done with a nail nick for a user.
When are we going to see some upper end steel ? RWL-34
3V, 30V .

Al, you just keep putting out such excellent work. I would love to spend a week with you in you shop someday, you are a outstanding fine craftsman.

Right now all I use is ATS34 mostly, some times D2.
I may use some other steel in the future? But no plans to do so for now.
Thanks! for the compliment.

What do you use to seal and preserve the ivory?

A lot of it I use is stabilized, I buy it that way.
I think if it survived in the ground 10,000 years, it should be able make it a few more?:)
With some proper care that is? Hope this helps?

Thanks! for all the great replies everyone, I do appreciate it.

All the best to you.

Todd

FWO,
from your statment about using other steels, i bet you don't have a T.A.Davison knife.
i do, 3 of them. one i have carried and used frequently as my outdoor "service my 90 acres of mountainside knife". i.e. not babied.
Todd sends them out as sharp as any maker out there and my EDC still does not need re-sharpening.
the problem with steels you call "higher end" is that they have slightly different properties, not better, because there's always a trade off.
if it ain't broke, don't fix it ! you can't get any better service from a knife steel than the ATS-34 the way Todd turns them out.

ATS34 is a fantastic choice, I have alot of custom knives and demand a good price for what I get. This will make 4 knives of Todds for me, his knives are perfect in everyway.

I'll take it!

This knife is phenominal! Love the mammoth! I agree seeing Todd's knives make my heart skip a beat every single time. Love your knives and I think the ats-34 is a very good choice in addition to all your handle materials!
