Todd Heeter knife?

What do you guys think about the design?

My own thoughts on the question?
Nope. Doesn't do anything for me. I would never buy one.

Definitely not my cup of tea. I have a hard time justifying "art pieces", of most any sort, personally. If you wanted to be the coolest guy at the Steam Punk convention, I'd say those would buy you some major cred.

They just seem about as handy to have around as carrying a decommissioned granade in your pocket. except the the granade safety lever has better edge geometry.

Among many other tells. I think it's involved in many more shops than most care to admit.

I credit a 10 year career with the torch and pipe to my current status as a clean and sober knifemaker. Give a tweaker a Dremel and you got pretty much all my posts from 2009-20013.

:D

Thank goodness you posted in time.

So, I’ll just say the following:

1) Those.... “knives”.... make my eyes hurt.

2) I would expect to see that type of hideousness in a head shop, overpriced at £19.99 and gradually gathering dust.

3) The origin of these knives is dubious.

4) The price is ludicrous.

5) They look like they have been designed by someone whose idea of a good time is to watch reruns of Ben-10 cartoons.

I watched that yap vid 5 times :D to answer the OP: no. Nothing about these knives makes sense - ergos, grinds, size, etc. It's more like a downward spiraling trend to create video game knives that appeal to a younger audience, the social media pic frenzy of "look! I paid a lot for this thing but is totes worth it!!"

Ya...sorry, these do nothing for me. My first thought was, "oh no! Mantis is making overbuilt knives now?" They do have interesting milling, i must say. I wont buy one...just wouldnt work for my applications. $2000 is crazy. JMHO.

The china bs talk is by one dude Jim "Black Label Tools" that supposedly does work but I have no clue what he does as only thing that really pops up when searching him is him talking shit about other knife makers and a YouTube channel with 11 subscribers and NO content AT ALL! I have a MOW with the mercenary grind blade and it is very comfortable to hold and if I had to rely on 1 knife that would be it! I had a TI Predetorian and MicroTech Stitch-A and although medford is close the MOW takes the win with the Granade PIN lockup.

I got to say, the MOW appeals to me more than any other of his creations. I think I get the look he was going for, A kind of earthy look almost like it's made of stone. would I buy one? No, would I accept one to add to my collection? Hell yes.
