Toddler kept warm by stray dog in Yukon wild

it wasn't until temperature dropped Friday evening, that a search helicopter with infrared radar was able to indicate a warm body on the ground.

the boy asked if he could keep his new best friend, and a local owner gave the stray dog to him.

It sounds like luck and a lot of good work paid off. Two years old is just big enough to get in trouble-- or to find out that every kid needs a dog. :)
