Tom Brown Tracker School

I took TBJ's Standard course in 2005 and the Advanced Tracking in 2006. Standard was fun and informative. Advanced Tracking was disappointing.

Billy O'Connell and his wife taught most of the material on the Standard. They were great. They now have their own school. They were approachable and answered questions.

TBJ in the Standard only showed up on three of those days in the course. Only sat down and talked to us for an hour or two. He did not talk to students. No "good morning." No "nice to see everyone." Walked in angry and left ignoring us all. No questions were allowed. If you go just keep in mind he will not do a question and answer forum.

In the Advanced course he was more involved but students were not allowed to ask questions.

I met another student who took TBJ's philosophy courses. She spoke of being taught remote viewing, telekinesis, fire control (changing the shape of flame as well as the color), invisibility, medicine properties transfer (take medicine and be able to transfer its healing properties to someone elsewhere without the medicine leaving your presence), and spirit world communication. She had a good time and told me nothing negative.

A lot depends upon who is teaching the course. I also was not a fan of the groupie guru worship many displayed in the course.

If your looking for a spiritual aspect to attach to your self reliance training then perhaps TBJ classes are for you.

We were asked not to flood him with questions. I was up early every morning and walked-n-talked with him on two occasions... we talked about our kids. He seemed open and friendly away from the class setting. After the last day I stayed and helped load up stuff. This was in Florida, My flight didn't leave until the next day. We (the instructors and crew) sat around a fire that night. TBJ showed up for a bit and had a laugh.

Wowsa! I knew there was a spiritual aspect to the courses but never knew there was a philisophical only class. Especially one that was based on crazy.

some friends have mine have taken courses, one in particular 2-3 times, but largely also had the time to do it (graduate student), and had an academic interest in doing so.

they all said they learned something, and most went in knowing things, and came back knowing things, but i've not yet observed l33t tracking skills, telekinesis, teleportation, or remote viewing (i mean, i'd see them doing THAT ;>)

but they all said if they had the time and money, they'd try it again.

i wouldn't mind a course, with people of skill in my area, but TBTS? doesn't sound like it's for me.
