I made a few posts around in trade forums looking to trade a Tek-Lok for a Tek-Clip, and Tom noticed it. He PM'd me and said if the Tek-Lok was from one of his knives, I should keep the screws as he had turned them to fit his eyelets. I said it was, and he offered to just send me one.

A little while later I get a Tek-Clip in the mail and a note from Tom that said he had run out of them so he sent me the clip from his personal knife!

I think Tom is more than just a great knife maker, he's also a great guy who genuinely cares about helping out his customers.

I'll be a third-time customer coming up next year and I couldn't be happier with my Krein knives.

What do you think the wait time on an ordered knife from Tom is ?

Depends on the knife...what steels/blanks are in stock...what blades await heat treat. etc...Email Tom and he'll narrow it down EZ :-) But regardless WELL WORTH every days wait I assure you.:)

Loandr.

I've been wanting one of those TK-1's,for some time know,I guess I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the replies,Vince

Vince, I carry a TK-1 Everyday in my front Pocket. It has to be the most useful knife I have ever owned !!! You will not be disappointed , Tom's work is Top shelf!!!

The first one I ordered in '04 took 3 months. The 2nd one in mid-2005 took 4 months. You can ask Tom for a more accurate time frame but I think 3-4 months would probably still be about right.

Torzjohnson, your estimate on a time frame was right on,so 3-4 months it is,TK-1,black-red g-10,I'm hoping Tom will e-mail me a picture of the material,or a knife with it.Thanks for the replies.

Thanks everyone for the vote of confidence in my work! I really appreciate it.

Right now I am running approx. 3-4 months on orders if I don't have a heat treated blade in stock. Here is a picture of a TK-8 defender with the black/red G-10.

Thanks again.

Tom
