I'm very deliberate in what knives I purchase. Have made a "gathering" plan and have pretty much stuck to it. Well, one of the knives that I've had on my "want list" ~ a TNT from Tom Mayo.
For the past several years. . .all that I've heard (from the Mayoites) is how great the Mayo is. . . It's TNT this and TNT that. . .
Problem, every time that I've gotten ready to make the leap and get one. . .something else crops up and puts a stop to adding a TNT to the "gathering."
Recently. . .quite a bit of rumbling going on in this forum (again, from the Mayoites) about their TNT's. . .and what Mayo has available to be had. Saw that he's making a new TNT. It's called a APT (Armor Piercing Tip) TNT. Just great. . .not only does he have regular TNT's. . .he's now making APT TNT's !
Any hoo. . . First week of December, got to see a pic of this APT TNT. Rocked me ! Knew immediately that I had to have one of these APT TNT's ASAP !
Threw some electronic junk at Tom. He reciprocated (amazing how this electronic stuff works !). . .
Now. . .I'm the very proud "gatherer" of a Mayo APT TNT (Prototype) in the large variety.
Man, this baby is solid ! The fit and finish is outstanding, blade is nice and thick (just like I like them) and wicked sharp ! ! Balance is excellent ! ! ! Craftsmanship is superb ! ! !
I'm so damn happy !
Thanks Tom (and the Mayoites)
