those that remember the thread where i was accused of selling a defective TM TNT ? Well, as soon as I got it back shipped it to Tom. He said, quote" someone completely took it apart and super glued the ball detent, the clip screws was stripped, and badly resharpened" unquote. He fixed it and said it is like new and guess what? No charge, except for shipping! Wow! I have it now and it is like new. I wonder who in their right mind would do that having a maker that would do what Tom did! Just want you all to know. Thanks again, Tom.

Now that's what I'd call a cool hook-up (from Mr. Mayo. . .that is) !

He already had an earlier thread that mentioned that Dave. Just leavin gcomputer so do'nt have time to find it for you, but probably page 2 or 3, been a week or so I think since anyone posted on that thread.

We never did find out who sold this knife to Danny in horrendous condition. Who is the original seller!!!!

I still don't understand how Danny could have received a knife in this condition and not have noticed the problems listed by Tom. He said he looked at and played with the knife when he got it.

originally posted by dannyvActually I did look at the knife, played with and, but I would never touch or redo a $700.00 knife from Tom Mayo!!

How do you not notice these things?

Anyway, it sure was great of Tom to look after it so well. This shows just what kind of a class act he is.

Glad to see it is in better condition. :(

Now that you have heard about the previous condition it was in from another source imagine how I felt when I got it:barf:

There is no doubt in my (sick) mind that Tom is a class act...having done numerous trades with him, I can attest they don't come any better. (Ok Tom, now send me a few free knives).

just let it go. Got my knife back in tip-top shape and that's all that matters to me, thanks to Tom. I am sorry I accused the wrong guy before and he understands. Trying to prove who the guilty party is moot and hard to do. I do know it was not me as I would have just sent it to Tom instead of trying to sell. Just closing and opening the knife showed no signs of the problems that's why I did not know anything was wrong and I sure did not open or use it. Well, thanks for the replies. :D  :)
