I did a little redesign on my Jarhead model. Changed the location of the pivot to give it a little more radical look. Slight change in blade shape, too.
Blade steel is D2 which I double tempered to Rockwell 59.
Blade length is 3 7/8". Flat grind. Blade stop pin is 5/32" and hardened. I made the 3/16" diameter thumb button from 303 stainless.
Stainless bolsters have been textured with a small carbide burr to have a stone look to them. I first cut the lines in the bolsters for the border edge nice and straight But I decided they looked better if the border was a little ragged. Then finished them with glass bead. Back edge of bolsters and front edge of handles have a 15 degree bevel to lock front of handles down.
Black and tan G10 handles have been line carved to show a little "spook" face.
Handle spacer is black G10 with some serrations.
Ti liners are .062" thick with insides jeweled and have bronze anodized surface.
Pocket clip is .040" ti and anodized bronze.
Inside the blade rides on teflon washers and a 1/4" pivot with a 5/16" head.
The pivot screw is an 8-32 thread with a nylon friction stop to keep screw tension set.
