tomahawk/kurki for survival

I'm doing some research on a good kukri. Anyone have a store/website with a large selection of kukris I can comepare? Also, a place that sells them cheap? Thanks!

Its known as a Khuda in Nepal, and there were two general types, one for the infantry which is quite small and very light, and the other is very big and used in the festival of Dashain on the Buffalo.

Thomas, I live in a place (BC's west coast) where there's really two seasons: summer and wet. There's always a (reground) 18" machete and my leatherman close to hand. I've taken 'intermediate' blades (around 6" or so) but they generally live in my pack unused. Firewood, shelter, snares and camp chores are typically done with the machete, and food prep is the leatherman's time to shine. Season isn't really a factor here as far as blade choice, for me at least.

I would take the kukri or both. have never had any negative reactions from the public when carrying mine. The kukri wins out hands for a survival and woodscraft blade and tool.
