This is a hawk forge welded from a farriers rasp with a cutting bit of Aldo's 1095fg. Edge hardened and tempered. Good sharp axe and would make a dandy camp/hunting tool.. Filework on the spine. The cutting edge is appx. 3 1/4" wide and the head is appx. 5 1/2" long. The haft is Ash, burned and stained, coated with boiled linseed oil. Has some leather wrap under the head.
