In this Sale, we are showing a Multicam Gen 1 Mk 4 Hawk (Pictured Left) next to a Black Mamba Gen 1 Mk 4 Hawk (Pictured Left).

Our hawks are designated by the version of our proprietary designed composite handle, the Gen 1 Mk 4 exo-/endo-skeletal handle, which is built to be light and strong.

To see a recent review of our hawks on Bladeforums.com, kindly click here.

With and Without Flash, for details to show.

These hawks feature Cold Steel Trail Hawk heads made of Drop Forged 1055 steel, which we like a lot, due to their low-mass, utility, and balance, which is a pleasure to carry all day woods-bumming, while other heavier tools stay in the truck.

We align the bits to the haft, and balance the heads on the Gen 1 Mk 4 version of our composite handle, which features our micarta micro-veneer skin we call Snake Skin, which has a pleasant grippy feel on the hands.

This tough hide adds strength to this lightweight handle in temperature extremes, where homogenous handles might fail. That characteristic, added to the increased ergonomics of the Gen 1 Mk 4 Cross Section, and its forgiving shock-absorptive nature, makes these hawks worth experiencing - If you don't agree, we offer an Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee on all our hawks that we call the Happiness Guarantee.

To date, after making countless hawks, we have not had a return.

..........

This ain't no plastic pole;

The secret to its strength mixed with its lightness is that the Gen 1 Mk 4 handle is not homogenous like all other handles that we know of;

It has internal and external structural elements - We actually believe that we could make it twenty times stronger, at the expense of more weight - but why don't we do that? kindly read the review, and you will see why some folks love this thing just the way it is....

The composite handle has a .50 caliber polycarbonate tube that acts as an internal structural element to the handle while allowing storage space inside the hawk for your Get-Outta-Dodge Kit.

With the plugs removed, you could use the tube for all sorts of things, including as a bellows for your camp fire, etc.

Looking down the internal polycarbonate tube on a Gen 1 Mk 4 Hawk, unplugged.

The plug has some powder on it in the included images, which comes off easily, leaving a beautiful black finish on the plug.

Amongst other unique additions to the Gen 1 Mk 4 Design, the plug is thread-compatible with standard camera mounts, and allows you to mount a camera on your favorite hawk, or a gun mount, etc. - you are limited only by your imagination - We have seen our hawks used to hold up anti-grizzly electric fences in Alaskan hunting camps - which is easier with our hawks since the composite handle makes them electrically insulated - (don't try that with your "crowbar" tool).

Both these hawks are light, but they are real bruisers.

Black Mamba Gen 1 Mk 4 Hawk (Left) - Weight: 20.8 ounces as shown/22.8 ounces with hardware and paracord. (hardware and paracord are included - your choice of colors, our favorite is just good ol' black on these Mambas.)

Multicam Gen 1 Mk 4 Hawk (Right) - Weight: 21.7 ounces without hardware/23.7 ounces with hardware and paracord as shown.

Black Mamba still available? and dost thou shippest north of thy 49th?

it seems like most of our hawks go north of the 49th these days, brother bjjzak!

i love Saskatchewan and Manitoba so much, i might have to hand deliver it.

the Black Mamba is still available, though i think someone is looking at it.

if you are interested, can i ask ya to contact my Erica please?...;

ericag@equinoxcoronado.com

Erica will take quick care of ya, and she's got better manners than i do :D:thumbup:

- in paracord, we have bright orange, foliage grey, coyote brown, and black available currently to wrap it with for ya, if you like. - it's good to have paracord around the neck for shock protection on the infrequent overstrikes, and down by the butt i usually put a little wrap to stop the hand and to tie a lanyard to. the wrapped butt also makes you choke up a little, which seems unnatural to folks usually, but the ballast effect on the tail section gives the hawk "snap" for lack of a better word, which lets you use it longer than a hatchet, and just take advantage of the knifelike bit that makes a good hawk what it is IMHO.

also - once more; please make sure that if you work for the military or public service or scouts, let us know so we can give you a discount if you haven't bought from us before.

rant over. - sorry about that, i just absolutely love hawks and alway blab too much.

thanks for your consideration.
