Grafknives are not far from your budget. Super tough stuff, made in 40hnma, Polish 4340 steel equivalent. Blanks are waterjet cut with attention to the "grain" orientation. Melon, one of its creators, is an experienced metallurgist. I have three of their Hawks and I'm very pleased with them.
Lately, maybe since Covid, comunication with them has not been great. Maybe they are more focused on selling only in their country, Poland. They also have their jobs, making tomahawks and throwing knives is just a passion.
