Gave one of these to a friend for his birthday. Showed up last night for a St. Pattie's party and all he had was large (6" diameter or bigger) firewood, and one section of newspaper. By the time I came by, someone already burnt up the newspaper trying to light up the large logs without any kindling or smaller wood. (Ugh.)

I said "where's that Hawk I gave you for your birthday?" We took two pieces of firewood and the tomahawk and went to work. Batoning, chipping, even making fuzzies. The fire was big and bright in about 20 minutes.

Who needs paper anyway?

I recommend everyone buy one of these while they're here.

I received the tomahawk this week. Thanks Keith! The first thing I did was a little throwing in the back yard. sticks great. I can't believe how light it is. Tonight I put a nice edge on it with some 400 grit paper. I think this will meet my needs perfectly and plan to carry it this summer for work. Thanks again.
