Tomar's tweener prices went up...ALOT

I'll pay the $65 for them (likely more up here) no prob., they are sweet. I just wish that they would get shipped......................

I have to agree with the others. I've been watching Tomar's site for a couple of months and the listed price has been the same since they first appeared.

I hope tomars is not gouging us on shipping like the other mountain place...12-15$ shipping,
You can keep it

Don't think he will. You still enter your zip code and it calculates shipping. Several packs of BK 14 zytel were only $6 to ship.

You've got to realize that USPS and UPS rates are way up this year, too. What I've been used to quoting $5 shipping for in the past is often costing me $7-8, now.

Around $44-50 would be a fair price...for just the knife at street price. The high quality sheath coming along with it and the system together as a package is definitely a steal at Tomar's price IMO.

I have a FPR 16 sitting in it's box here and every time I pull it out to play with I am so impressed by this sheath as well as the awesome knife, best factory sheath I've ever seen. Skystorm, Godspeed, MWTIC, and Azwelke probably saw them and thought 'Crap, how am I supposed to pay my bills now Ethan?'

Like most others have said, I've never seen Tomars pricing less than the current $65.

Maybe there was an error on their site for only a few hours that you happened to come across? Or maybe just mis-remembered? I know I've never done that :D

$65 is a real good price for what you get.

Its a knife that will last you a lifetime unless you mis-treat it.

Tomar's prices have NOT gone up. The tweener prices are the same as they have always been- over $60.

Since the SHOT show in January it WAS announced here that the Tweener's street price would be right in line with a BK2 based on the retail prices. EVERYBODY here saw that. Many of those SAME folks actually buy things from Tomar constantly and /or check their wesbite carefully.
Sooooooooooo, Don't you think if ANY of those folks saw an aberration like $44 Twenners at Tomar's they would have called it to everyone's attention?

One thing that is CERTAIN ,however is that Tomar's DID NOT take any firm orders on Tweeners and then change the price. Threads like this do absolutely nothing for the reputation of this website, Tomars' ,Kabar and especially the OP , IMHO.

Also anyone who should expect everything in a Tweener Box ( A High quality full size US made Knife ,two sets of grips and Spec Ops quality Sheath) to cost $44 should also expect the knife to be made in CHINA- not Olean,NY.

IMNSHO-$65 is VERY fair for what you get with a Tweener.;)

I think you dreamt that $44 price. It was never that low, and I looked the day they went up.

Maybe the OP mistakenly looked at the 14 plus grips or something?

Yup, you were seeing things man, never ever ever have they been below 50 bucks.

Brad, you should just get your stuff shipped to a place like LetterLock, PO box in the states will save you alot in shipping. Just don't order directly from Kabar as they charge tax for sales to Washington. As I just found out with the SE BK4.

Just be glad you do not get tied to the cross on shipping like us here in Canada........I would jump on one for 65$ up here

True words mate. But I bet you Lector and Meat got some stories though.

they now cost $65. I could have sworn they were supposed to be priced less than their larger counterparts, not more? With a bit of searching, you can find a bK2 for $57

I did some google searching a few weeks ago and found numerous places that had them listed, but of course nobody had any in stock. It seems that some places listed them for slightly under $60, and likely if you can search around and find a BK2 for $57 then eventually you can probably find the 15/16/17 for that or less.

I don't think anybody is questioning the value there, but it is more of an issue of the "A" knife that will ... We all want to buy more than "A" knife, we want to buy several. Some people might want one of each, some people are still wanting to add a 5 or 7 or whatever to their collection in addition to a 15/16/17, so every little bit helps.

They have been at the $65 deal since he put them on website..... Be en checking debut daily since then.

$65 sounds good to me. I just hope they are all available for next week. I don't wait well ;)

mmm, drunken whoring monkeys :)

also, a second set of zytel handles and hardware was always included i the deal as well
