Happy 2020 everyone! Here’s my new Tombstone Marauder V2 up on the offer block!
Ground from a 3/16”” x 2” Billet in 52100 with professional HT at 60/61. Hand sanded to 1200 grit for a reflective satin finish. The flats are also 1200 grit and have some mill finish remnants for contrast. Finished dimensions are 12 1/2” overall, 7 3/16” tip to guard and about 1 7/8” tall at the harpoon.
Edge before sharpening was .005” or so and it is extremely sharp. Balances at the guard. The deep swedge is also near sharp at .005” +\- down the full length.
The multi faceted guard is blued steel as is the sculpted pommel. They are finished to 1200 grit and polished.
The handle is Bocote, Leather and Deer Antler with Red, Yellow and Black G10 spacers. It is sanded to 1200 grit with a 3/32” stainless pin, and finished with multiple coats of Danish oil, beeswax on the leather, then buffed with carnauba wax. The handle feels great in my average size hands (left and right) and will fill a larger hand as well. Sheath is a snug fit with great retention even without the strap yet easy to deploy.
