tons of scrap Ti-6Al-4V

$2.10 /lbs!?

Yeah, I'll give you more than that...

you would have to forge it right? you couldnt cut it at those sizes. may be something i could use later on when i learn more. ill take atleast 50lbs-count me in

Ti can be forged but it's tough because of it's low mass it cools down real fast. The only reason I have ever forged it was to thin out thicker pieces w/o wasting alot by milling. I have a friend that scuba dives and wanted an all Ti knife so I forged one for him. It was a bugger to say the least.

so what would i need to have to say make butt caps-bandsaw grinder. wouldnt i be wasting alot if it came in big chunks

ok we are a go.

ok im going to be taking pictures of every chunk with a ruler next to it so you can get a size idea. each block will have the weight on it. i will post them in the forsale page.

Ok i took pictures of all the chunks while thay where on the scale. It looks like he wants to keep the 81 pound chunk so that only leaves 200 pounds to be sold. I will post the pictures in the for sale page. Need to sell it all asap.

I sent you a PM. If I don't hear back from you I guess I'll keep watching the for sale area for your postings. That seems like it's going to be a lot of work for you though.

All the best, Phil
