Tony Bose in hall of fame

Just a heads up that Tony Bose, and Mel Pardue, have been inducted into Blade Magazine's Hall of Fame. Well deserved for both.

Tony has helped a lot of knifemakers over the years and willingly shared his patterns and knowledge to anyone that is interested. He's a great guy with a great sense of humor, and he's pretty danged good at building traditional pocketknives. He started out making knives on a picnic table in his yard using a small electric grinder. Congrats!

For me Tony is a friend for whom I have a lot of respect. I learned a lot from him how to make slipjoint and other things in life, he is a person with a big heart.

On another note, Tony's cousin, Orville Bose, was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame earlier this year. As I'm sure most of you know, hoops is huge in the Hoosier state. Tony and Orville both came from the same small town of about 800 people and both made a hall of fame this year. Tony also excelled in basketball in high school.
