This knife is awesome and googling Tony Lopes, for about 30 mins I turned up nothing in the way of contact info or web site. So I'm drawing on the knowledgable people here at Bladeforums to tell me if there is a web site for this guy or at least an email for him hidden in the vastness of the web somewhere. If this isn't the right heading to post this under then my apologies.

Found this link with several photos of this style of knife. My french is nonexistent though so I was unable to figure out what this style is called. Can anyone help me out?

those knives are call "piemonthais" (friction folders) and are quite ancient, probably middle age way of doing a folder. (may-be earlier?)
