Yea the cabin just burnt to the ground within the last few hours! They heard one gunshot then the flames started and the cabin began to burn. They just confirmed that they removed his body from the ashes.
It all started today around 1:30pm when fish and game spotted him, there was a shoot out then he took up in the cabin where he continued to fire on everyone and everything killing another officer and wounding a hand full more! They think he set the cabin aflame then put the gun to his head and ended it. I have been glued to the TV all day as it unfolded!
 
Gosh, it's such a crazy story. Sounds like more a movie script than a real life situation. I'm flipping the news on now to see if I can find anything more about it, I'm a little ignorant to a lot of the details
 
You should read his manifesto, it's long but it's very detailed and you get a sense of what's going on in the guys head! Just search Chris Dorner manifesto, it's plastered all over the net.

they brew it 50 miles from me -- friday is growler night, saturday is brewery tours.

My wife ROCKS! She just told me she had no idea what to get me for Valentines Day and since she just got her first bonus and HER taxes back to go reasonably crazy and get some gear---just pulled the trigger on......a BK16, Cold Steel Trailhawk, Streamlight Microstream, UTG Messenger bag (maxped jumbo knockoff for 1/3 the price--great reviews), Maxpedition Micro Pocket Organizer, Grabber Space Blanket, couple of SOL/AMK whistles and a 10x10 Etowah tarp---:D:D:D

BK16 - good kit.
Microstream - good kit
UTG "jumbo" - love mine
Etowah tarps - love mine -- my 10x10 has survived some pretty nasty storms with no issues, so I picked up a 10x12 a month back - took it out camping 10 days ago and it worked fine.

So all the other stuff I mentioned is junk?:D;)--This is my first tarp and everyone I talked to said to get a square one--honestly not sure why-Glad I made good choices :thumbup:
