Are you off friday and its 50 miles witch way?
I should be home by 1 -- it's 50 miles west of me, but I can drive from here to there. :D

So all the other stuff I mentioned is junk?:D;)--This is my first tarp and everyone I talked to said to get a square one--honestly not sure why-Glad I made good choices

not junk, but i don't have experience with the other bits and pieces -- except the trail hawk, and I don't like them.

looks good - I made a not-calzone: diced lemon pepper chicken, shredded mozz/provalone blend & broccoli slaw wrapped in fresh made whole wheat bread dough, then smothered with a molten cheese/sour cream/x-hot pico sauce.
with a Leinie Vanilla Porter on the side as an homage to Trade.

get the "life" case, $$ but waterproof (go showering with it, or even claimed swimming) but good for camping/accidents :> and bumps.

If we're talking about IPhone cases here and you don't want to spend much money, I have a "BALLISTIC" (LS Series) case. It's not water proof or anything but I've dropped my phone from 5+ feet on to tile and there was no damage to the phone.

After my grandmother passed a few months ago, we cleaned out her house and fixed it up in order to sell it. I found my grandpaps old case folder that he carried nearly everyday of his life until he was finally admitted into the hospital near the end of his days.

As you can see, the scale on one half is completely gone, the other side there is only a bit of the scale left on either side still pinned in. Any suggestions on how to go about restoring this little guy to it's former glory? Tons of sentimental value in this one.

I would email JK and see what he would charge to replace the scales -- he's worked on Buck 110's and Vic SAK knives in the past, so may be willing to give it a go.

on another topic: Big Sky Brewery "Cowboy Coffee Porter" = win.

Some years ago, I sent a four blade Case knife in similiar condition to Case for repair. They did a nice job and returned it in a reasonable period of time. Don't recall details about repair cost, but it was reasonable for they work they did.

I still have the knife . . . belonged to my Dad who used it in his electricial trade.

If you asked him "do you have a knife" he would invaribly reply, "got my britches on, don't I?"

Don't know if the folks who currently offer Case offer a repair service, but it might be worth a try.

I have been so sick for the last week, worst flu of my life. Huge fever, almost lost my voice from puking, covered in sweat constantly and having really disturbing, crazy dreams when normally I can rarely remember my dreams. I'm still trying to beat the de-hydration but it feels SO good to be out of bed and getting back to normal. On the plus side I lost 10 pounds in a week..Flu diet FTW!

Glad to hear you're on the mend. Having the flu blows, it just erases a week of your life. But at least you'll be ready for bikini season from that weight loss!

The King has arrived. Sitting right here on my desk. Wow. I know everybody has one, so I won't bother with pics until I get the new Tommy-the-who scales installed. (should arrive early next week). But again..wow. This is a helluva Bowie. Makes me wanna slink through the bush huntin' Nazis like when I was a young 'un. Think I'll go count the money in my change jar, get me one of them skystorm sheaths befitting such a magnificent piece of steel. Now I have 2 Beckers.
Unrelated; While waiting for BladeForums to load, (sigh) I had time to read Dorner's Manifesto. Anybody else? Interesting mix of crazy and very specific thoughts on current events.
