On my way home tonight, an early night for a change, I was thinking of how Cyber-friendships were and wanted to comment just a little on Tony. As it speaks to many of us that value our word and honor, two things that should go hand in hand. Tony has shown his character many times over to several folks on the boards. He says something and you know it will come to pass. Recently I had sold a camera that I bought for my daughter's wedding, as mine was acting up and I went and got an expensive one from ebay, with the help of a good friend Win Heger, another in whom I trust explicitly. Well once the wedding was done, I looked at the camera thought, man this is too much for me to have, as I don't shoot as much as I use to, so I posted it forsale. Tony picked it up with some thoughts for it's use.

Well move from last October to last week when my other daughter, a Senior now, had to go to a Junior prom to crown the new Prom Queen...yep she has her mother's looks, I know you guys were thinking that ;) But as I took my old camera down, which now seems to work pretty good again, I really felt remorse over letting that other one go, a professional 35mm Canon EOS 1n body with power drive. So I emailed to Tony and said, I surely regret selling that and I hope that it is getting good use in it's new home. Tony emailed back that if I'd like it back, just say the word and he'd send it off and I could pay him as I was able...now I was estatic of course! So the camera is on it's way to me and I'll be paying him back asap! It should arrive just in time to take some Senior pictures for my daughter to hand out to friends. While the camera I have, an EOS 620 is very nice, the 1n is such a robust beast that you would not believe!

So...long story short, I'm grateful for Tony's friendship, a man of his word as we all should strive to be.

Thanks again Tony,
G2

I'm new here, as you can tell from my join date, but I've read quite a few posts in the last few weeks. I have to say there are a lot of really upfront, go-the-distance people who hang around this site, judging from what I've read. Thanks for the post. Thanks for helping to keep that faith in human nature shaving sharp.

Camera arrived packaged better than I'm sure it ever was packaged, a drop from a tall building wouldn't have hurt that camera the way she was wrapped and placed inside the box. And the USPS guys/gals did a very good handling job, nothing damaged or even dented, very happy was I! :)

What a camera, my wife said "Now don't you ever sell that camera again!" :) ok dear, I won't and that's a promise.

Now while I know digital is all the rage, I still like to shoot film, I think that in a few years they, the camera folks, will have a full frame digital body out there and then I'll move up so I can take full advantage of my lens collection.

Thanks again Tony!
