Last weekend I went to check my mail on Saturday to find a box from knifemaker David Farmer........I wasnt expecting anything from him so, I was like WTF?
I opened the box to find an EDC model in purpleheart from Farmer, and a note that said from Tony.
I have never encountered the generosity that I have encountered here. I have made lots of friends, some I consider very close friends. It restores my faith in human beings to know that selflessness still exsists in the world we live in. I wish all of you were my neighbors, and we lived on the same block.
It deeply moved me to find that he bought this knife of steel and wood for me, cause he thought I needed to check out Farmers work, and he knew I would dig it. Thanks Tony, I will forever cherish your act of generosity, and will pass it on to my son.
A few weeks back, I also got a care package from mtnfolk mike. Inside was some archery stuff -string wax, a stringer, and a really early edition of Kepharts book camping and woodcraft. Also, MikeT made me a really cool armguard with stag buttons. Mike, thanks man. You are a great dude.
I have seen lots of other acts of selflessness around here too. We are lucky to have a place like this, and I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart, for all that I have learned, and all I will learn.
Thank you to our overworked mods for helpin run thi place, and ridding it of those who would muck up the works.
Anyways, sorry to sap it up, but eh......
