Back to the Tennessee Scotch. When the Scots went to TN, they made a good whiskey from corn. I call it George Dickel #12, and I have a brand new bottle of it. Smoooth! To me, Scotch tastes like iodine! But I admit, I've never tried the JW Blue.
 
Good thing some of the flavor came through in the distilling. I'm an old home brewer myself. Never did distilling but once. I guess you can get the peat smoked barley malt for brewing Scotch Ales, which I love.
