Back to the Tennessee Scotch. When the Scots went to TN, they made a good whiskey from corn. I call it George Dickel #12, and I have a brand new bottle of it. Smoooth! To me, Scotch tastes like iodine! But I admit, I've never tried the JW Blue.

So I assume you brewed the malted barley and distilled it. Where do you get your peat?

He bought peat smoked malted barley. Off the internet

Good thing some of the flavor came through in the distilling. I'm an old home brewer myself. Never did distilling but once. I guess you can get the peat smoked barley malt for brewing Scotch Ales, which I love.
