I'm with you OP.......the last of my Macallan Cask Strength is going down now. After that its Balevine 15. I can't get enough of this single malt goodness. Maybe I'll get an Islay next. Decisions, decisions.

See ... now, this is a good attitude. :)

If you can tell me what you like, I might be able to suggest the right Islay for you. I'm sort of a "consulting drunk." As opposed to Skunk ... who's just an "accomplished drunk." ;)

Or Tony G: a "stylish" or "cool drunk." :)

i agree mike, and you have been fair enough in your warning. now tell us, are you one of the ducci's?

.

Well, since the Ducci clan is restricted to the home sty; I say we start creating "Who" members for use in the Horton forum.

What say ye, J?

I know first hand that Tony G is a " drunk". I just wish I could remember the name of that sweet saki we had at sushi ran.

As for my scotch preferences, I'm not keen on the heavy peaty malts. Med. to light would be nice. I really enjoy the Macallan and Dalwinnie spirits, if that helps. When out in SF with "G" he shared a dram of a real peaty goodness, but I don't think I'd go for a full bottle.

I should have access to the following -- Ardbeg, Bowmore, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Highland Park, Isle of Jura, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, McClelland Isla, Scapa, Talisker & Tobermory.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Jeremy...Drew...Mike and of course Tony our host and the other "regulars" who I have not met yet...

This looks a great place to hang out and chat! Reminds me of Knob Creek.

Brought some bottles of my favourite tipple....Tamnavulin....

This one is for regular quaffing...

It is a Speyside Malt....very smooth and delicate on the palate...but complex and full of taste sensations...after trying many this one works for me best on most occaisions....although others do have their "turn" when a change is required...

So how are you all ? Good I hope! Here are a few momento pic's from KC....
Drew doing some "voluntary" work...
