I carry a benchmade 300 axis, and it more than sufficiently does the job. It's pretty low on the "high end" knife spectrum, but it's incredibly smooth, 154CM steel, which in my opinion is one of the best on the market, unless we are going into the age old "super steel" debate. It's fairly light due to having G-10 scales, with steel liners, the axis lock makes for 100% lockup every time without fail, lock rock, or blade play. And it comes in at right about 3.5in, I think, Without measuring or googling. But for its price, fit and finish, fair weight, nice steel, and overall aesthetically pleasing appearance, I'd say go for it. But that's just me.
