Too quiet here, what`s everybody been up to? I`ll be showing a couple of knives tomorrow, (one for an order, one to post for sale), then more on Friday or Monday, for orders (waiting on handle material). Next week, I`ll be starting a Spike Hawk, the first Nessmuk Hatchet, and the first Urban Hawk (which will be posted for sale.)

What's the one you'll be posting for sale, and will that be here or on the Exchange?
Curious. . .

working, making some simple pouch sheaths for a new maker, getting ready to go hammock camping for the first time this weekend.

It`s a small personal defense knife (although I may be posting a bushcrafter style knife next week), and it will be posted here for a couple of days, then go to the exchange.

Always look forward to pictures! I've just got back to work on Monday, it's always difficult to get up and running, answering lots of initial questions by email etc. I'm looking forward to the pictures from the next gathering as well.

I made it back to the west coast and I'm hoping to get my life and work back on track. I may be really busy for a while.
By the way, thank you very much John, you are a lifesaver.

Good luck, and you are very welcome.

I have been very busy - hardly time to even check in on some days - I usually do get on in the evenings at least for a little while.

I have a busy job and a lot of extra-curricular activities.

Looking forward to the Gathering though - had to run down to the meat locker at lunch yesterday to buy the hot polish and the cheese dogs - yum - you folks will like them.

I still have to stop somewhere and get a pot and cup - need one anyway.

John - is there anything in particular in my collection that you would have me bring so the newer folks can see and handle - Knatchet? Bowie? EDC Kephart? SSS?

I will be bringing a couple of Bucks that are not too common, and my new Modifed Wharncliffe.

best regards -

My wife and I are expecting our first child (it's a boy!) next friday and we have been spending a lot of time getting his room ready. I took it from plaster and slat walls down to studs and put new drywall and trim up. I can't wait for him to be old enough to enjoy the outdoors and mainly, KNIVES... and Jeeps.

I have to say Jeeps are my passion but knives are my first love. Wife may be in the top 5 somewhere.

I've been testing a new custom, but that isn't going to last for long, since it is supposed to rain again. (My backyard was too muddy the past two weeks, I got out for 3 days...)

Well, I spent last week traveling for work--or trying to, anyway, despite the deluge of bad luck I had. This week I'm playing catch-up at work and then trying to help the kids at our dojo prepare for the State Championships for karate to qualify for Nationals. I did manage to get some video of them working on point sparring (they're usually much rougher than that :P) so they can be ready to spar people that they aren't allowed to blast into unconsciousness on Saturday (which has been a trend with a few of them lately).

I'm around. Fun stuff Noah. I've been in martial arts for 31 years now and still love it.

Noah,
That young man is very fluid and has great extension on his kicks! I know nothing of points fighting but can't help but notice his hands are held low? Then again, it seems to be working for him. :)

I have been busy with my dad. his leg was really hurting him then he couldn't breathe. next thing we know we are in the hospital and he has a blood clot in each lung and they came from a huge one in his leg. luckily they went to the lungs vs the brain or heart as that would have killed him. he is doing much better though and the doctors said he can go home tomorrow hopefully. he will be on cumidan? blood thinner the rest of his life though :( but at least he is still around.

hopefully me and the old man will be in the woods and posting pictures up soon.

Hi grunt -

Glad to hear your dad will be ok!

I look forward to those pictures!

best
