I looked for my listing on the knives for sale forum. The last post on the thread was less than two days ago and it's now on page 4! It seems like it would be a good idea to have a separate "fixed blade" for sale forum. There's not a lot of action on the "automatic" forum, so they could be incorporated into the regular one and a fixed blade forum installed in its place.

I don't have a problem with this.

Having sold a few production knives over the weekend I can certainly understand the frustration.

I really think it's time for a Busse/Swamprat/Scrapyard For Sale subforum.

If there's a new fixed blade forsale forum that would siphon off all the busse* knives.

Which would be fine for me, since I just look for folders usually.

Good for you, but that wouldn't address the problem for those of us who do buy and sell fixed blades.

CODE3-

The problem with a fixed blade for sale forum is that it would be just like the production knives for sale forum. Busse/Swamprat/Scrapyard knives pushing other brands to page 2 within hours.

The volume of Busse/Swamprat/Scrapyard knives for sale combined with the voracious nature of their collectors warrants a seperate forum dedicated to their sales, in my opinion.

So what about a Busse For Sale forum and a Fixed blade for sale forum?

I vote "no" for a "Busse only" for sale forum. This has been discussed before and the majority of Busse owners are not in favor of it.

But it must be rather annoying when a person is trying to make a sale on a knife and they can't because there are too many busse knives hogging all the attention. I don't see why you guys would be un-happy about it? Could you explain this........

I think that separating fixed and folders is a good compromise.

That way, you're not isolating one group of folks by brand, and you're making a logical division in terms of knife types.

My suggestion is, learn to click the little mouse button and scroll through a few pages of titles. How do you browse the forums at all if you cannot grasp this concept? That is a forum, clicking and scrolling.

Complaining about what brands are being sold is ridiculous. This has all been covered in the past.

If there is a particular brand you want to buy, feel free to start a petition for your own sub forum like the Buck guys did.

I vote NO for Fixed and folder separation.

-They are all production knives, and are often sold together in one thread.

-When I browse for production knives, I like having all brands and styles in one basket.

-Clicking and scrolling through a few pages is absurdly easy.

Maybe we need a remedial class in "how to click and scroll with your mouse".

Eh, we're going to compromise. The Busse fanatics have been asking for a seperate For Sale forum for a while, and since most of the rest of the sellers complain about Busse listings overpowering theirs, I've spawned a subforum just for them.

If there is STILL traffic justifying a seperate fixed blade forum after that, we'll do so.

It may be the first you've heard of it, but when the Buck guys were asking for a forum of their own, the Busse guys wanted it too. Between that and the complaints from the others, I'm opening it.

Asking for a Buck forum automatically implies that they want a Busse forum? Not exactly the same thing. The only compromise I see is catering to a few at the expense of many.

But hey, it's your forum. do what you want.

I hardly ever sell stuff anyways, but when I do it is usually multiple brands.
