Too many natives, not enough chiefs

Hey Spidercrew. I picked up my first Spyderco knife which is a native around Aug of last year and i haven't looked back since. I now own 8 spydies and 5 byrds and just love the quality of these knives. I use them all. I have been wondering though with all the natives out there in all their many combos why we haven't seen the chief? I appreciate all that yall do!

Mayhap the Native 4? ;).
A Sage 2 with Ti Reeve Integral lock might be a good choice, if not exactly a chief.

The sage is a sweet knife, no doubt.;) I like the look of the native though because it looks like a spear blade with the swedge grind on it. I know the flat grind is more efficient but the native to me has a pretty even balance of style and sliceability.

Its hard to muster up any enthusiasm for the Native Chief from the very few images that I have seen of it .... I don't think this "concept" has really been that well received in general.

As popular as the Native is ,and as many people have said they wish it had a longer blade ,I bet a Chief would sell well.

Spyderco had a prototype picture of the Native Chief up on the Spyderco forums. It looked to have an overall length of around 9-9.5 inches, G10 handles, and I think it had an S30V blade. It was only a prototype but it looked awesome. Just think of the Native, stretched out. I'm sure it would make a great EDC to join the ranks of the Military, Manix, and Chinook, as hard use folders from Golden.

I like the Native....a lot....
Don't like the frn handle....at all...
Found a Native Partially Serrated Stainless Steel handle in VG-10 NIB
Grabbed it and I love it!
