I seem to average about $2000 a year on knives. I'm single, home is paid for, cars and truck are paid for, no credit cards so no credit card debt. I see no reason not to spend money on knives.
 
well .. if you have some money to spend (not hurting your financial) on knives then it's fine :) and if you are planning to add more knives .. go for customs ... but research well (do not pay overpriced) .. which ones good to sell it later ... just in case there is an unseen emergency. I recommend xm-18, mayo, strider, etc ... (just my 2 cents).
