Went through a couple of my drawers and think I found out why my wife thinks that I've lost my marbles. What do you think (I think how can I have too many?)

Not too many at all...just too many for a guy that has none yet. :(

The Chitlingi knife from the valentine deal had some handle issue so Auntie said she will have to fix it so I was unable to purchase it (yet)...

Still waiting to buy something. :p
 
if you have lost your marbles, you obviously need to replace them with something. may i suggest another HI khukuri? or maybe a sword? i see space there for a few more blades.
 
My file drawer for these is almost full of HI. Thinking of making some kind of stand(s) for them. That would also take some of my rust worries away as they'd be free standing, not in the sheaths.
 
Nah, you'll be alright. I've maybe got a couple more than you, but we pale in comparison with the other khukuri collectors.
 
So far only used my BAS and the rehandled CAK I picked up. Wanting to use the Super CAK and the ASTK soon. Still working my learning curve for convexing (done did real good on the rehandlen CAK tho')
 
I was trying to decide on one, but I think I'm going to have to get quite a few. Seems to be the only reasonable solution lol.
 
I have a trunk full:)

However, I tend to cull the herd from time to time. If I run across someone who needs a khuk, and I have an extra I loan them a khuk. If they don't like it, I take it back, clean it up, sharpen it if it needs it, and pop it back in the trunk. If they are smitten, then obviously karma dictates that they need it more than I do. Usually, they contract HIKV and end up getting another one from Yangdu. Collect, use, enjoy, pass on.

That said, I'd run out of fingers and toes before I was able to count all the HI knives in my stable:o

Ah man...my luck is just not with me lately. I lost my chance to get that Valentine Chitlingi due to it becoming a "blems" from some handle shrinkage issue.

Still don't have any HI knives keepers. :(
