Couldnt agree more! Nut is right on the money. Kukri is big and good for heavy chopping, batoning...heavy duty work. The ESEE 3 is for finer more detail work. You dont need the other two. For these two will cover a large variety of tasks and cover them well.
If you're hiking while carrying the weight of your gear I'd go with the idea of picking 2 knives (big chopper + smaller 'detail work' knife). I tend to over gear too so I'd probably have a big knife + smaller knife + SAK.
