Took a chance today on a Benchmade mini Adamas

After going back and forth the past few weeks over getting a ZT 562CF or possibly another PM2 I went down a whole different road and bought a mini Adamas. I ended up with the Shot Show 2022 exclusive Shane Sibert model in CruWear. I settled on the one with the dark red micarta scales which IMO add some class to the overall look.

Blade HQ was still waiting on it but KnifeCenter had it in stock so she’s on the way to me.

Any one have one? Love it? Hate it?

I don't own one yet actually been going back and forth between picking up a Gayle Bradley II or the Mini Adamas, if I get the GBII I'll have to get Micarta scales for it and an MXG clip, the Mini Adamas I'll leave as is. I have a CF/20CV Bugout incoming from the Benchmade Custom Shop and my sweet spot for EDC has been a knife with a 3.25" blade and a 7.25" AOL. I've owned a couple of ZT 0562s and an 0393, awesome knives but sold them because they're bigger than I like to carry.

I have a full size adamas that I adore. I want to try a mini but feel it might be too small for me. I'll check one out one day, but the full size is a frequent flyer in my pocket.

Sweet pickup! 👍...Haven't tried the mini , but the full-size Adamas was my hard use knife for many years and served me well. I'm a fan of all the Sibert designed BM's in general.

I want to try one but I hear it’s too thick for slicing.

Can’t speak to the Adamas, but just received the Gayle Bradley 2. I can tell you that the size is the same as the Para2, fit and finish is almost Sebenza , it really is that good. Heavier than the Para2 , hollow ground M4, it is that good

Love the Mini. The action is smooth and the ergos are pretty sweet; the blade has some heft to it, but it's nicely balanced with the cutouts in the handle. I don't find it too thick at .14" and it works fine for most EDC tasks. Deep carry clip! And I think it looks great.

Take this for what it’s worth: I got a GB2 and have never been more disappointed in a purchase. I own a GB1, but was drawn to the form of the GB2. It just feels weird in hand and the liner lock is obnoxiously thin. People complained about the lock on the GB1, but, IMO, the GB2 lock is abysmal. I love my Adamas mini though. I’d like it more if it didn’t have vertical play.

I saw people complaining of that but it was reviews that were 6+ months old. I hope BM has rectified the issue.

I adore mine. I bought an Auto and loved the steel and hard-core build of it. When I decided I needed something a bit smaller for a place where blade length was an issue, I bought the Mini.

I have been floored by it. The action, the lock up, the steel performance. I can carry any knife I want in my home state. The Mini has kicked almost all of my current rotation out on my pocket. I tend to carry a Microtech Combat Troodon as my edc, and I still do when I k ow I will want the ease of the OTF action. That said, the Mini cuts like a much larger knife.

I'm a huge fan. I'm not one who feels the need to "complete" a family, but I see the full size Adamas as well as the fixed blade in my 2022 future to go along with my Auto and Mini.

Wow! I’m patiently awaiting it’s appearance!

I bought the Shot Show version because of the Micarta and Cruwear. I honestly didn't think I would like it very much. I don't tend to like larger knives, and I didn't like the CruCarta PM2 very much. I typically stick with 3" blades and sometimes go up to 3.4" for special cases.

I absolutely love the Mini Adamas. I'm having a very hard time keeping it out of my pocket. It's a crazy good knife. It seems like Benchmade has really stepped up their fit and finish lately too. The grind and action on the last four Benchmades I've purchased have been way better than the Benchmades I purchased a couple of years ago.
