Took a chance today on a Benchmade mini Adamas

Great design. I had two of the full-size model...black and a tan. Too heavy for casual but great for the woods.

One of my favorite knives and has not left the pocket since I got it. Pretty much same for the MT. 😃

Had the opportunity to handle and test a Mini Adamas recently at the local dealer' shop while picking up my Mini Osborne. It's a good sized folder, with great opening/closing action, and I find that it's really not so "mini".

I agree, it’s stout. However for me it was between the Adamas, a ZT 562 and a PM2 which are on the larger end of EDC depending on how you look at it. Luckily I wear jeans or work cargos 99% of the time so I can get by with more knife.

I bought the Shot Show version because of the Micarta and Cruwear. I honestly didn't think I would like it very much. I don't tend to like larger knives, and I didn't like the CruCarta PM2 very much. I typically stick with 3" blades and sometimes go up to 3.4" for special cases.

I absolutely love the Mini Adamas. I'm having a very hard time keeping it out of my pocket. It's a crazy good knife. It seems like Benchmade has really stepped up their fit and finish lately too. The grind and action on the last four Benchmades I've purchased have been way better than the Benchmades I purchased a couple of years ago.

I can’t believe when I was younger I would EDC those large Cold Steels like they were nothing!

Btw, I like your signature, my wife is Korean. She immigrated to the states and she’s very grateful of all American vets.

I wonder if with the Limited Edition knives if they have replacement parts for those too. You know like if the blade were to need replaced (highly unlikely) I wonder if BM has the black coated blades in stock for replacement for the Limited editions like they do for regualr SKU G10 models in grey and FDE coatings?

Email BM they respond quickly I have found.

I want to try one but I hear it’s too thick for slicing.
I hear this. Then I hear the folks who slice things and do all their tasks with a Medford or a Strider. That isn't me, but I saw a guy here do some'n like "Seven days of Strider" where he did all kinds of tasks with the Strider.

Though, again, just because you can doesn't mean it's good.
