Took a little trip last week.

Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing them. Utah is the best... just don't tell anybody ok?

Those are some magnificent pics! I would love to see that part of the country someday soon!

With the waterfall turning to snow at the bottom, I got to see that in Yosemite at the Bridal Veil Falls in March one year...breathtaking, but not compared to where you were!

Cool pics! My parents live in Hurricane, so sometimes when I visit them I make the trip over to Zion. Angel's Landing is a hike that should be on everyone's list.

Location: Netherlands

I spoke with a gentleman who sounded like he's from your part of the world at Bryce. He was XC skiing the same trail we were plowing through on foot(I got video of him busting face first, and warned him that he might want to stay away from the edge):)
Anyway, I was struck by how most of the people we encountered at Bryce and Zion were from other countries. Weren't many people out there, yet we also saw a group of Japanese tourists while at Bryce, and spoke to two groups of hikers in parking lots at Zion who were British, and maybe German(?), respectively.
Also thought it was interesting how differently we were all dressed for the climate. My girlfriend grew up different places in the West, and usually had on a sweatshirt or sweater over a shirt, and sometimes a shell over that. I'm from the Southeast, and mostly wore a t-shirt. Some people were decked out for an arctic expedition in technical gear with boots, knee-high gaiters, base layers and fleece under shells, others wore down jackets, while one Japanese lady was crunching through ice and snow happy as you please in sandals, a halter top, and what looked like thin pajama pants as if she was walking around at home.

Yep, I'm from the Netherlands. Visited CA and surroundings last year. I thought it was rather hot (but that was in summer). I don't have time to visit in winter, but it sounds great!
The Netherlands is a cold place, so anywhere hotter I'm only dressed in shorts and a shirt. With shoes of course.
I'll find some photo's when I get back, I gotta run now.

Awesome shots! Great views there! I have a friend in Utah who has been wanting me to come out and go hiking. It's hard not taking her up on the offer...this isn't making it any easier. Thanks for sharing the photos!

Airfare was less than $400 round trip;)
Google Arches and Canyonlands(Utah), too. I'd love to check those out, and they're only 40 miles apart.

Very cool trip. Camped at Bryce for five nights a few years ago on a motorcycle trip. It's one of my favorite parks because you can really get down in it...like you're part of it. I dig Zion too, but never get that same feeling. However, Zion does have a brewery just outside of the park. :)

Quick stop at Bryce on the way to Capitol Reef last September:

Capitol Reef is also worth checking out. Good hiking.
