Took about two years for me to finally find one of these!

Wonderful addition to your collection, I think you just found your new favorite.

Thank you APerna.
dinokay, there are about 7 in the series...starting around 1997...uncertain. The first few years had 12, then the last 4 years there were 20 issued.
Each have a gold coin from a particular country. Some are even more stunning!

Do you have any information concerning the coin? Where they special ordered? Who made the coins? And the H/C Damascus with the gold coin come together so well, congrats once again on an excellent score.

Here's some info I found on the forums.

"The gold coin collection started in 1997, and there have been a total of 7 knives in the series so far. However, with the first three knives in the series (U.S., Australia, and Canada), there were only 12 knives issued each year. In 2000, Chris extended the number of knives offered to 20."

1997 - USA
1998 - Australia
1999 - Canada
2000 - South Africa
2001 - China
2002 - Austria
2003 - Isle of Man

I don't know who made the coins. The damascus is the B&W high contrast and from what I can tell all gold coin sebs had damascus blades. I believe I spotted a blue damascus on one in a search some time back.

Thank you!
They are fractional gold coins in 1/10 oz minted by the country each Sebenza represents.
Yes, that is correct.
