Polished up the edge of the new M6 and chopped on a piece of scrap red oak after work. Just used medium chops. Edge is unfazed. I see what the hype is about; can't wait for the FBM!
SR-101 is great stuff (what a shocker, huh? ). I've thinned the edge out on my BR a good bit with an EdgePro. It's sharp enough to shave your whiskers with, but even with the steeper "V"-edge it won't give in when chopping. I'm always amazed at how durable the edge is.
I've considered going the Edge Pro route, but the edge is pretty good just using an india stone, fine dmt, some wet/dry paper and mousepad, flexcut on cardboard or whatever else I have lying around. I reallllly need an extra-fine diamond/ceramic DMT Dia-fold!
