I forgot to mention that the whitish part is not white, but actually reflective material built into the 550 cord. I figure since there aren't any really shiny parts on that FSH I could find it easier in the dark with a flashlight if the need arose. The effectiveness is demonstrated with the camera flash.

Well I was bored this morning so I sharpened my NMFBM, took it all the way up to 7,000 grit Polishing tape. I did not reprofile it, I kept the factory edge profile as I felt there was no need to change it.

Mine looked like it was sharpened on a slack belt. Convex primary with convex edge, just needed to blend them a little after I stripped mine.
