Took the KMG plunge!!!!

Congrats!

Every time someone posts about their KMG, I get a little closer to pulling the trigger on one. Right now, the distance can be measure with feeler stock. Real thin feeler stock. :)

Enjoy your new grinder!

I am debating on painting or just spraying some rust preventer on it. I have a big tablesaw that I have to spray down to prevent rust on the cast iron. With all the humidity we have during the summer months. My next step is to run an AC duct to the garage.
That was what influenced me to paint it,soetimes when I go out there in the summer I have to squegee off my anvil and drill press from the humidity.
did you take it apart to paint it or just paint all together
I took it apart but didnt paint where there would be clearance issues putting it back together.
I was fortunate to find a 2 part epoxy primer and clearcoat in a rattle can :) Kind of expensive paint but it's for a good cause  (excuse the mess;) )

KMG is the choice I made as well ...sort of I actually printed off all the parts lists and some good pics and went to work on my buddies milling machine and 11" metal lathe...very happy with the re$aults and the great part is that it take KMG attatchments..LOL...I will be interested to hear how it works for you. :)

Your KMG is on the way Jim! The snow storm and cold temps slowed me down for a few days...but it shipped yesterday and should arrive in a few business days....by the weekend.

Thankyou Rob. New toy to play with this weekend!!!!:D
