Tool steel query?

Part of this topic has been beat to death, but not quite what I was looking for and curious what you fantastic makers thought.

Im making a smaller tomahawk, pattern will be waterjet, assuming everything else is equal, heat treat(peters) geometry, etc. Between O1 and A2, which has the capacity to be tougher?

Also, Ive read in other threads or forums that O1 and or A2 has a finer grain. Ive used both, but this would be a first in the realm of chopppers, it will be in 3/16 or 1/4.

A2 has moly and a little bit of chromium. I'd go with A2 given those choices, but either would work.

Aaron Gough had a great test video on his YouTube. He was pretty impressed by A2, finding it nearly as tough as cpm3v with proper heat treat.

Of those two choices, A2 would be the best. 1075 would also be a good choice.
