Tools a knife nut should own

correct me if i'm wrong, but torx head bits have a sort of star shape, while allen keys have a hexagonal shape.
because I have a folder which has (what I think are) torx head screw for the spacers, but the pivot screw uses an allen key.

+1 on the Allen Keys.

Another thing: a box of wood toothpicks. I use them often for cleaning, especially slipjoints.

A good small vice.

Pipe cleaners for cleaning joints, etc...

Dental picks or a set probes. You can sometimes scrape off a bit of well oiled rust without harming a blade with them, and pull out any stubborn stuff that gets stuck in a knife.

A computer to brag about your knives to others on forums. Full custom XM-18 BABY!!!

There's no such thing as having too large a variety of tools, or having too many duplicate sets of the most important ones.

I can't even begin to imagine how many screwdriver sets I have scattered around the farm and in my vehicles.

Indeed, you can never have too many tools. "Too many tools" is like "too many knives", it's a nonsense phrase. :)
