So I'm on my way to Tennessee. I usually do the drive in one day so I don't have time for detours. This time, due to reasons I won't bore you with, I'm doing it in two days. This allowed a detour to one of our supporting dealers, GP Knives in Troy, IL. Nice store and nice people. I browsed the GEC collection and told them I would take the #12 with blue camel. They're even prettier in person than they are in pics. Then this happened

Still don't have a blue camel. I only have a couple of knives with stag, but this one called out to me. Been sitting here in the hotel fondling it

Did buy a canvas micarta Possum Skinner though. And a Buck 112LT

Just picked this one up. Remington Powderhorn, dated 1988. I think Camillus was making Remington knives then, but not sure. Delrin handles. Knife is in very nice condition. Approximately 5 inches closed.

I'm liking these a lot! Very interesting with the bolster lock, can't say I've seen that on this pattern! Also makes me wonder if Cattaraugus produced a toothpick pattern knife...

Used to have several of these but down to just the one burnt stag. Now that GEC has sworn off shields for stag, I make it a point not to let go of those I still have.

Wow! I'm not the biggest fan of acrylics but those are beautiful scales! IMHO even nicer than the latest GEC tortoise shell offerings. Looks like fire!

Two 2009 Northfield powderhorns in blood red jig bone, my favourite colour bone. Two knives with same colour but different jigging in the same run.

I especially like the jigging of the top blood red bone, gorgeous red and beautifully photographed!
