Here are my top 3:

Buck 119
Victorinox Farmer
Mora tri-flex

Cheap, effective, and really will do for 99% of folks.

What are your top 3 value blades?

1. Victorinox Pioneer
2. Kershaw Skyline(yes I had to have another one)
3. Opinel #8(I like it better then my #7)

1- SAK Spartan
2- Benchmade AFCK
3- Swamp Rat Rodent Solution

I think :D The BM only because I've had it almost 15yrs and its never let me down.. The SAK was my first knife at age 12.. and I still use it as well.. Swamp RAT RS is just a kick ass knife at a very realistic price.. almost a mini chopper if needed, batons great, slices (after a nice convexing), and kinda sexy too :D

SAK Econo Camper (worth plenty regardless, but it was free!)
SRM 710( yes, really. It's a good little knife. Edc it at work a lot)
Camillus pilot's knife (it was free lol)

Spyderco Gayle Bradley, Kershaw Shallot, and Victorinox Alox Soldier.

- Kabar Dozier folder (~$17)
- Buck 110 ($30 including sheath at Walmart, and will outlive its owner)
- Hmm. Lets say a Byrd Meadowlark 2 stainless, with full flat grind and 8Cr13Mov blade steel for around $21.

I think the fact that most posts in this thread included some version of the sak says a lot about those knives.

1. Benchmade 551 Griptilian
2. Leatherman Fuse
3. Cold Steel Finn Bear

That covers everything for me.

1. Mora 711 allround
2. Opinels stainless or carbon of any size I prefer the #9
3. Case sodbuster JR. in CV
